The beginnings of the Soler family in the wine growing world dates back to the early 17th century, in the same place where we currently produce our wines and cavas (Spanish sparkling wine).

Martin Soler Sr.’s great-great-grandfather, acquired the country house of 1616 and the current twenty hectares of vineyards, that he cultivated to produce white wine; most of which was sold in bulk, in watertight hardwood, which was carried to the port of Vilanova i la Geltrú for export. 

Later, in 1965, Martín Soler Sr., opted to produce and bottle his own wine and cava.

From Barcelona, originally from Rosellón.

Branches of this name spread to Aragón, Valencia and the Baleares.

Proved nobility in the Orders of Santiago in 1645, Calatrava in 1749, Alcántara in 1715, Montesa in 1606, Carlos III in 1802 and in the Royal Company of Midshipmen in 1755.

In azure Field, a Sun or, surmounted on the chief by three Stars argent, with the middle one raised slightly.

Border or with the following motto in letters sable:

"Sapientia Est Specior Sole Et Super Omnem Dispositionem Estellarum".

(Wisdom is the most valued sun, and the highest of all the stellar dispositions.)

Today our family continues to care the same twenty hectares of vineyards that embrace the cellar, and that four centuries ago were planted by our ancestors.

A legacy that ensures the continuity of a family dedicated to wines from the 17th century and cavas from 1965.

As well as, the exclusivity of our products, elaborated from the three traditional grape varieties of the Penedès suitable to produce cava, we grow, applying new techniques of viticulture:

Macabeo: very large and tight bunch. Gives fine wines, moderate alcoholic degree, fruity and slightly acidic.

Xarello: small and not compact bunch. Gives fruity wines, aromatic and excellent alcoholic degree.

Parellada: big and tight bunch. Gives wines with good acidity and very good aromatic qualities.

All the grapes for the wines are grown on our La Serra Estate of Sabanell, located in the wine-growing area of the Alt Penedès (Barcelona).

The vineyards, of over therty years, provide texture and a variety of nuances to the wine.

The grapes are delicately pressed; as a result we obtain a great quality must.

The firs-alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats, with a controlled fermentation at 18 ºC.
